The following is a note from the county website: “Critical Violations are listed and accompanied by the corresponding WV Food Code Reference. Critical violations are conditions that have the potential of causing a food borne illness. Normally, the smaller food establishments, such as mini marts and taverns, will have fewer critical violations due to the small volume of food preparation. Larger establishments, on the other hand, have a bigger potential for critical violations due to the higher volume of food preparation. “
