Selling your home is a big life event! I believe in being proactive and there are several things you can do to make the process a little smoother. Once your home is under contract the majority of buyers will hire a home inspector to perform an inspection. This inspection typically occurs 10-20 days after your contract is ratified. During this time the inspector goes over all aspects of the home including electric, plumbing, roofing HVAC and numerous other areas. Preparing your home for the inspection can help reduce the number of items that the inspector will find; which is always a good thing!
